Hot and spicy Oreos?

Posted: Updated:

Gone are the days when Oreos were just a black-and-white cookie. It seems the brand is coming up with unique new flavors all the time now.

From jelly donut to cookie butter, there are plenty of different tastes to experience. And now we apparently have one more interesting one to look forward to: hot and spicy cinnamon.

The package features the classic black cookie stuffed with a red creme center flavored like cinnamon candy. It's essentially a Fireball Oreo but without the alcohol.

Mixed reactions filled the comments with some users excited about the new flavor and some who were definitely not.

“Very intrigued to try this,” one said, while another was adamantly opposed: “This sounds terrible.”

Some compared the new flavor to the Swedish Fish Oreos. “I hope this isn't as bad as the Swedish Fish one,” one commenter said. “Worst Oreo ever.”

The Junk Food Aisle also teased another new potential Oreo flavor coming soon: chocolate hazelnut. We're hoping it tastes exactly like Nutella

When we asked the brand on if these new flavor rumors are true, a spokesperson responded, "[W]hen we have more information to share about OREO news we’ll be sure you’re one of the first to know!" And that's what they normally say when they're about to launch a new product, so we’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you can get your wacky Oreo fix with the new mystery flavor which is set to hit shelves Oct. 9. There’s even a contest that lets you guess the correct flavor for a chance to win $50,000.
