Posted: Updated:

U of A alum Christiana Duarte, who was killed in the  Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting that left 59 dead and nearly 500 injured, was honored this evening at the Arizona Diamondbacks-Colorado Rockies postseason game.

There was a moment of silence for her, and other victims, before the first pitch.   Duarte was an intern with the D-Backs.

There'll also be a memorial for her by the LA Kings.  Here's more from News 4 Tucson's Alexa Wallen:

A University of Arizona May 2017 graduate Christiana Duarte, known as Chrissy, was killed Sunday night in the Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting that left 59 dead and nearly 500 injured.

After Duarte graduated, she returned to her hometown of southern California and began working as a Kings Fan Service Associate for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team.

The LA Kings announced on Wednesday that they will honor the victims of the shooting, specifically Duarte, in their first game of the season on Thursday, October 5.

On Thursday, the Kings will wear helmets with Chrissy's initials "CD" on the back, as well as host a special pre-game ceremony with a moment of silence for her and all other victims.

The Kings are also hosting a 50/50 raffle with all the proceeds going to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund, the Kings players will then match the funds raised at the game.

The organizations released a statement:

"Our organization is overwhelmed with grief over the loss of our colleague Chrissy. We would like to thank everyone for their outreach, love and support," said Kings President Luc Robitaille. "In just a brief period of time, Chrissy had an immeasurable impact on all of us. We want to make every effort to ensure that everyone knows how special she was and the impact she already had made on so many people. We would also ask that everyone please understand and respect her family's wish for privacy at this difficult time."
