Roadrunners to host tailgate & opening night red carpet ceremony at TCC

Posted: Updated:

There'll be "tailgating" at the TCC this weekend and a "red carpet" entrance as the Tucson Roadrunners get set for their season opener.  Here's more from the Tucson Roadrunners:

The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, shared information today regarding a unique fan experience that will take place prior to the club’s regular season opener on Saturday at Tucson Arena.

Beginning at 4:15 P.M. on Saturday, fans will have the opportunity to cheer on the players as they arrive on a red carpet at the main gate of the Tucson Convention Center.  Each Roadrunner will be escorted to the front entrance in a classic car presented by Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance.  Select players will answer questions as the “Voice of the Roadrunners” Tom Callahan introduces the players to the crowd.

Following the introductions, the party will continue on the plaza leading up to puck drop with live music presented by My 92.9 and a performance from the band SQWRL.  There will be food, interactive games for kids and a beer garden as well, all taking place at the North Entrance of the TCC.

Doors will open at a special time of 5:30 P.M. on Saturday and fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of Williams & Associates, while supplies last.

Tickets for all 34 Roadrunners home games, including the club's season opener this Saturday against the San Diego Gulls at Tucson Arena, are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking HERE or visiting the Tucson Convention Center box office.
