Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta starts Thursday at Kino Stadium

Posted: Updated:

The "Vamos a Tucson" Mexican Baseball Fiesta kicks off this Thursday at Kino Stadium.

Scores of current, past & future major league system baseball players take part in the "winter leagues' and Mexican League baseball every year.  We have the complete schedule and more from the "Visit Tucson" and other organizers below.  Also, here's more from past stories at KVOA:

The Seventh Annual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta presented by Cox, Desert Diamond and Vantage West will be played on October 5 - 8 at Kino Stadium. This year’s event will include the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Yaquis de Obregon, Aguilas de Mexicali, and the Cañeros de Los Mochis of the Mexican Pacific League (Liga Mexicana Del Pacifico), and the Cincinnati Reds Future Stars.

“We believe it was essential that we continue this fun-filled multi-national and cultural event in Tucson” said Mike Feder, President of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta. “This tournament includes some of the most popular teams in Mexico. The Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta will continue to be a tradition in Tucson for many years to come. We’re excited that the Mexican Baseball Fiesta continues to grow every year.” Feder joined MBF founder Francisco Gamez and Jack Donovan in forming the Mexican Baseball Fiesta, LLC in 2011.

Tickets for the Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta are on sale online at www.MexicanBaseballFiesta.com as well as the Kino Stadium box office, which opens at 10:00 daily.
