TUCSON - Last call for daytime highs in the 80s.
A lingering storm system near Las Vegas keeps temps in check again this afternoon. Highs peak in the mid to upper 80s across Metro Tucson, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Today's temperatures run 2-4° below average.
Nighttime lows bottom out in the upper 50s by daybreak Wednesday.
As the storm system slowly advances east, it pulls in enough moisture for scattered storms Wednesday through Friday. Activity looks to be confined areas along and east of a Safford-Douglas line. Mostly sunny skies prevail for the Old Pueblo with highs returning to the 90s.
Morning lows will come up as well later this week, dropping to the 60s starting Friday.
