Fall and feeling like it

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - The first weekend of fall is here and temperatures are actually starting to feel like it.

The high for Tucson on Saturday afternoon was 86 degrees, 7 degrees below average for a late September. In the wake of a cold front, overnight lows will dip into the mid 50s across Tucson by Sunday morning, temperatures the area hasn't felt since May. Some of the eastern valley locations across Cochise County will see lows in the 40 early Sunday.

Highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s will stick around Tucson through Tuesday before the 90s return by the middle of next week. Also by the middle of next week, a disturbance will bring a slight chance of rain with eastern areas the better bet for rainfall.
