Fall (and its temperatures) arrives

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Fall officially arrives at 1:02 PM today. The weather will also sync up with the Autumnal Equinox.

Breezes remain elevated this afternoon, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. A cold front crossing the state cranks southwest winds to the 15-25 MPH range. Highs peak in the low 90s today under mostly sunny skies.

Lighter winds and cooler temperatures arrive this weekend. Highs starting Saturday reach the upper 80s, followed by nighttime lows in the mid to upper 50s. These temperatures are typical for the first few weeks of October.

Watch Jeff for a complete look at your 4WARN extended forecast today at noon. Follow Jeff's weather updates on FacebookTwitter and his blog.
