Craycroft Road will shut down this weekend

Posted: Updated:

Craycroft will be closed in both directions underneath Interstate 10 from 6 p.m. Friday, September 15th to 10 a.m. Saturday, September 16th for bridge work.

According to Arizona Department of Transportation, all ramps will remain open.

Drivers should use Wilmot Road or Valencia Road as alternates.

Traffic on westbound I-10 is using a median detour with 40-ton and 22-foot width restrictions through October 2017. The speed limit is reduced to 55 mph. Two lanes are open on the temporary bridge route, but there are no shoulders in this area.  Eastbound traffic is not affected.

The $3.3 million project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2017
