Inmate's death being treated as homicide

The death of an inmate is being investigated by as a homicide.

Daniel J. Acosta, 26, was found unresponsive Monday evening at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Tucson. After Arizona Department of Corrections officers and medical responders attempted to save his life, he was pronounced dead at 6:19 p.m.

Acosta was admitted into custody in 2013 and was sentenced 19 years in state prison for kidnapping.
