Tucson Police released the name of the driver who was killed in a crash on East River early Tuesday morning. 26-year-old Michael Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic investigators determined that the vehicle involved, a black Chevrolet Impala, had been stolen from a used car dealership a short time prior to the crash. Detectives determined that Herrera was traveling eastbound on River Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car.
UPDATE: Eastbound lanes on River Road have been reopened just in time for morning rush hour traffic.

The cause of the fatal single rollover crash is still under investigation.
UPDATE: One person died early Tuesday morning in a single vehicle rollover crash on River Road, according to Tucson Police.
The driver was heading eastbound when his vehicle rolled over just after 3 A.M. No other passengers were in his car.
The crash has forced police to shut down River Road in both directions while the crash is being investigated.
Police are currently investigating if alcohol or speed was a factor.
TUCSON (KVOA) -- A crash early Tuesday morning has forced Tucson police to shut down westbound River Road from Via Entrada to 1st Avenue.
The area is expected to be closed to traffic for at least three hours, according to the Tucson Police Department.
Police did not provide details of the crash at this time.
