Tucson Living: Local bartenders learn to distill with prickly pear

Bartenders from across Tucson met at Three Wells Distillery to learn the process of distilling prickly pear spirits.

Co-founder Matthew Montgomery said that to his knowledge, they are only one of two distilleries producing prickly pear spirits.

The bartenders that attended were all members of the United States Bartender's Guild. Being able to bring awareness of Three Wells and their line of prickly pear spirits is the goal for co-founders Matthew Montgomery and Chris Dudding.

They find the Bartender's Guild to be the perfect venue for that because they are the ones that are out fielding the questions.
