Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Lattes are on their way to your grocery store

Posted: Updated:

As of Aug. 11, there 104 days left until Thanksgiving, in the year of our spice 2017. There are 81 until Halloween.

And yet, Starbucks has huge fall season news to declare in this, one of the hottest months of the year: Bottled Pumpkin Spice Lattes are coming your way!

The coffee behemoth, which helped tee up the pumpkin spice glut we now live amid in 2003 by introducing the Pumpkin Spice Latte, is rolling out a PSL iced drink that's pre-made and ready to take home for your back-to-school sipping pleasure.

The 14-oz. bottle will cost $2.79 and will be available in grocery stores later this month. According to a news release, the drink will be made of "high-quality arabica coffee with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spices, and creamy milk."

In addition, Starbucks will also make its Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee available for brewing at home, a coffee with tastes of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Eleven ounces will cost $9.99.

Of course, Starbucks is far from alone in this jump-the-holiday gun hubris: On Aug. 1, World Market released its annual pre-ground pumpkin spice coffee.

Everything from Cheerios to Dannon's Light & Fit and Ghiradelli's chocolates have poured out the pumpkin spice flavors already this year. And flavors aren't the only things getting a jump on the season: We gave a definite side-eye to a Giant food store in Pennsylvania where we spotted Thanksgivingdecorations for sale on Aug. 10.
