Tucson ranked 9th in the most red-light running fatalities

Tucson is one of the top 10 cities with the most fatalities linked to drivers running red lights.

The National Coalition for Safer Roads analyzed data from 2004-2013 to compile the list.

Tucson ranked 9th with 61 red-light running fatalities reported in the 9 year time frame.

Arizona and Texas are the only states that had more than 2 cities make the top 10 list.

Below is the list of the top 10 most dangerous cities for red light running.

1. Houston, TX (181 fatalities)

2. Phoenix, AZ (127 fatalities)

3. Los Angeles, CA (125 fatalities)

4. Las Vegas, NV (105 fatalities)

5. Chicago, IL (99 fatalities)

6. Miami, FL (82 fatalities)

7. Dallas, TX (71 fatalities)

8. Philadelphia, PA (63 fatalities)

9. Tucson, AZ (61 fatalities)

10. Denver, CO (60 fatalities)
