Frye Fire closing in on being fully contained

After burning for over a month, the Frye Fire is closing in on being 100% contained.

The Frye Fire has burned close to 48, 443 acres since starting on June 7th and is reported as being 93% contained.

U.S. Forest Service says the lower portion of State Highway 366 has been re-opened to Ladybug Saddle.

A new closure order has been issued opening up access to some of the campgrounds and homes in Turkey Flat.

Officials want to remind everyone stage 2 fire restrictions are still in place in Coronado Natl. Forest.

Activities like having a fire(of any kind), shooting firearms, operating combustion engine along and numerous others are still in place.
