Judge refuses to send case of Wyllow Brewer back to grand jury

Posted: Updated:

We have a News 4 Tucson Investigators update on the murder of a Tucson infant, and the ongoing legal case surrounding her death.

Wyllow brewer suffered fatal injuries earlier this year at her home on the northwest side. According to investigators, she was malnourished, had suffered blunt-force injuries, and was battling an infection.
On Monday, three of the four suspects in the case appeared before a judge, in an effort to get their case sent back to a Pima County grand jury.

Lawyers for Brianna Raidy, Kaylie Gossett, and Jon-Paul Bogdanowich, Jr. argued that the original grand jury didn't get proper instructions. The attorneys are debating who had legal care and custody of 6-month old Wyllow, before her death on February 19th.

Following a brief hearing, Pima County Superior Court Judge Kenneth Lee rejected the defendants motion to remand the case to the grand jury.

All four defendants, including Wyllow's mother, Kylie Brewer, will be back in court for another hearing in September. The three women remain in jail, while Bogdanowich is free on bond.
