TUCSON (KVOA) -- A homeowner is lucky to have only suffered minor burn injuries after she braved the flames and moved one of her two cars  from her burning carport Sunday night.

Firefighters responded to a 911 call of a carport fire in the 8900 Block of East Calle Playa, near East Speedway Blvd. and North Camino Seco, at around 9:53 p.m.

According to TFD, a neighbor called to report the fire while the 64-year-old homeowner tried to save her two vehicles from going up in flames. She was able to save one vehicle, but not the second one.

Photos released by Tucson Fire shows the fire completely destroyed the second vehicle.

When firefighters arrived, the carport was fully engulfed in flames and the fire was already spreading to the attic of the home.

It took 27 firefighters 23 minutes to put out the fire.

The displaced homeowner was treated for minor burn injuries and released on scene. She'll receive assistance from the American Red Cross, her neighbor and family, according to Tucson Fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
