PCSD DUI checkpoints this weekend

Posted: Updated:

Tucson- On Saturday, June 17, the Pima County Sheriff's Department will be conducting DUI sobriety checkpoints.

The Sheriff's Department is creating this initiative to help eliminate impaired drivers from the roads to ensure the safety for citizens of Pima County.

If a driver is stopped, they could potentially lose their license, have their vehicle impounded, pay large fees or fines, and end up with a criminal record.

The Sheriff's Department asks all drivers to have a designated non-drinking driver, or plan to another ride home, like Uber, or Lyft and to remember "buzzed" driving is impaired driving.
