Cochise County authorities take burglary suspect into custody

COCHISE COUNTY -

Cochise County Sheriff Deputies, along with agents from the U.S. Marshal's office, take a burglary suspect into custody.


Follow up investigation resulted into multiple leads that 33-year old Kristian Jones was in the area of S. Carmichael Drive and East Wilcox Drive in Sierra Vista on Thursday May 18.


Surveillance show Jones leaving the area riding a black-colored motorcycle.
Deputies did a traffic stop on Jones and he was taken into custody without incident.  


The motorcycle Jones was riding had been reported stolen to the Sierra Vista Police Department within the last week.  Sierra Vista Police Department Detectives responded and processed the motorcycle, which was returned to the victim.    


Jones was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of:
Misconduct with a weapon, Motor vehicle Theft, Theft, Burglary, and Possession of burglary tools.
Jones remains in custody without bond.
The investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.
