All classes have been canceled.

Sierra Vista Police brought a bomb-sniffing dog to check the building.

According to school calendars, the high school is closed on Fridays but the elementary and middle schools are in session.

Students at the Center For Academic Success, 900 E. Carmelita Drive, were bused to Bella Vista School, 801 N. Lenzner Ave., after the threat. Parents picked up their children there. As of 11:30 a.m. all but 30 students were picked up.

It is unclear whether the threat is valid, but the school and Sierra Vista Police are taking the threat seriously and it is under investigation, according to a Facebook post by the City of Sierra Vista.

Carmelita Drive is closed between Seventh and Lenzner. Please avoid the area.
