4 Your Health: Bad news about kids and suicide and people willing to risk their health

Tucson- Many people at high risk for a heart attack have no desire to change their lifestyle.

That's according to a new Canadian study that surveyed over 45,000 adults about their weight, exercise habits, diet and smoking status. While most high-risk people agreed they needed to make changes more than half said they did not have the time or self-discipline. Nearly 18 percent said they felt no need to improve their health.

Alarming new statistics about suicide from Vanderbilt University

The number of children and teenagers admitted to the hospital for self-harm or thoughts of suicide has more than doubled during the past decade.

Research from 32 children's hospitals nationwide show the annual percentage was .67 percent in 2008 rising to 1.79 percent in 2015.
