UPDATE: Tucson police say no credible threat to schools; added police presence a precaution

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON (KVOA) -- Tucson Police say there will be an added police presence at schools Friday morning, mainly at Tucson High School, after a suspicious message circulated on social media last night.

Police did not provide details of the messages but say there is no credible threat of violence.

TPD believes the anniversary of the Columbine school shooting yesterday may have had people on edge and circulating the stories online.

Again, officers are working with TUSD and to make sure everyone is safe today.

School is expected to resume as normal.
