The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is on a roll, hiring teachers through its series of job fairs. Educators for all grade levels and subject areas are invited to apply and the district says, it will be hiring qualified candidates on site.
Job fair number four is Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at Catalina High School (3645 E. Pima Street.)
TUSD is offering stipends for qualifying employees including $2,000 for a master’s degree, $3,000 for a doctorate and $2,500 to $3,000 in retention and hiring stipends.
According to district spokesperson, Stefanie Boe, TUSD has hosted three other job fairs since January. From those, 77-employees have been hired. There are currently 165 openings for the 2017-2018 school year.
