What’s Driving You Crazy: Huachuca City speeding

Posted: Updated:

We head to Cochise County to see "what's driving you crazy" this week.

Virginia said she sees speeding all the time on State Route 90 through Huachuca City.

She said, “It’s particularly at the beginning of the town and the end of it. The posted speed limit is 45 miles per hour.”

She thinks more officers need to give out tickets. We talked to the police chief for you.

Huachuca City Police Chief James Thies said the town has been referred to as a speed trap. Other jurisdictions, not just the Huachuca City Police, can enforce traffic on State Route 90 within the city limits. That includes the Department of Public Safety, Cochise County Sheriff's Office, and Sierra Vista Police Department.

If you see driving issues, contact Huachuca City Police at (520) 456-1353.
