What’s Driving You Crazy: Ina detour signs

Posted: Updated:

Detour signs for the Ina Road closure are "driving you crazy" this week. Rich thinks some people may still not know how to get around the closure.

He suggest local DOTs: "Take some positive steps for driving rather than think everyone knows Ina Road is closed and everyone knows how to get around this closure."

We talked to Arizona Department of Transportation for you, Rich.

There are signs reminding drivers that Ina and the ramps are shut down at I-10, as well as signs directing drivers to the interstate.

ADOT compiled this list of where you’ll find signs:

-Two signs on westbound I-10 – one near Ruthrauff and one before the Sunset exit – alerting drivers the Ina and Orange Grove exits are not open and directing them to exit at Sunset.

-Signs for eastbound I-10 drivers before the Cortaro exit stating Ina exits are closed

-Signs on Ina on both sides of I-10 that indicate the road is closed at I-10

-More “I-10 Closed” signs on Ina west of Silverbell, east of Thornydale and at La Cholla

-Multiple locations have directional signs (this direction to I-10 East, etc.)

Cortaro at I-10, Business Park Drive, Thornydale and Silverbell, Ina at Silverbell, Starcommerce and Thornydale, Orange Grove at
Thornydale, and Gillette Road at Business Park Drive.

-Reduced speed limit signs for both crossover lanes

If you think there's an area that needs a sign, email projects@azdot.gov.
