Posted: Updated:

ORO VALLEY – The Town of Oro Valley and Town of Marana will once again partner to host the 6th annual MOVE Across 2 Ranges hiking challenge on Saturday, March 11. MOVE, which stands for Marana Oro Valley Experience, is sponsored by Summit Hut and gives outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and abilities the opportunity to hike, stroll or trail run two beautiful mountain ranges in the Marana and Oro Valley area: the Tortolitas and Santa Catalinas.

Participants can choose one of four hiking challenges:

- Mighty (my size) Move – 6 miles

- Major Move – 10 miles

- Mega Move – 15 miles

- Massive Move – 21.5 miles

Registration is $35 and includes admission to the after-party; event shirts are $15 (available for purchase on event day). Start times vary, depending on challenge selected. For more details or to register, visit www.move2ranges.com or call 520-229-5050.

Registration includes participation in the hiking challenge and free admission to the “Managed the Move” after-party at Catalina State Park, from 1 to 6 p.m. Live music begins at 2:15 p.m. featuring local band “Hey, Bucko!” Beverages available for purchase.

Not interested in hiking but still enjoy live music? The after party is open to the public; however, regular admission prices to Catalina State Park apply to those who did not participate in the challenge. (Catalina State Park charges $7 per vehicle or $3 individual walking/cycling. See www.azstateparks.com.)
