What’s Driving You Crazy: Ina at I-10

Posted: Updated:

Longer commutes. Congestion on alternate routes.  Those are just a couple concerns you've shared with us as Ina is set to shut down at Interstate 10 next week.

Arizona Department of Transportation estimates that about 30,000 drivers travel through the Ina interchange daily. That traffic has to go somewhere once the intersection shuts down.

ADOT tells us they will be watching the traffic flow at Orange Grove and Cortaro.

They'll make adjustments to help ease the anticipated increase in traffic. That includes watching the traffic lights. If delays are too long getting on or off i-10, they will adjust them.

Pima County Department of Transportation expects there will be congestion on other major roads the first couple of weeks. Then the traffic flow will adjust as drivers find their best alternate routes.
