4 Your Health: Blueprint for a healthy life

Tucson- That resolution to get in shape sounded great on January 1st but if your looking for more incentive a new study may help.

Researchers from Vanderbilt Health and Wellness analyzed data from over 10,000 health risk assessments. They found the most effective lifestyle behaviors were eating a low-fat diet, aerobic exercise, not smoking, wearing seat belts and getting enough sleep.

Experts say even small changes can lead to greater health over time.

Also, the American Heart Association has new recommendations for pregnant women with congenital heart disease.

They suggest having a delivery plan in place and to look for medical centers that have an experienced cardiologist, who are trained in high-risk maternal-fetal medicine and a cardiac surgery team.

Doctors add, that a mother needs to be monitored anywhere from six weeks to six months following delivery.

And a new survey finds that it's more than just convenience that makes parents serve up frozen meals. It turns out, people actually like to eat them.

One-third of those surveyed, by the University of Minnesota, said the meals are also easy for their children to prepare.

But cost also came in to play, with more than a quarter of those surveyed saying they buy frozen meals because of the money they save.
