Pima County Safety and Justice Challenge met for discussions

Posted: Updated:
TUCSON -

Monday marked the first meeting for the Pima County Safety and Justice challenge.

Community members and officials got together to discuss current and future procedures on race, economics and the jail populations.

Three new strategies were discussed. Program Manager Terrance Chung said Monday's meeting was filled with a lot of information, but he hopes future meetings will contain mostly public input.

The group will continue to meet and give updates on data and procedures that work.
