Arizona Beats Rival ASU 56-35 to take back the Territorial Cup

Posted: Updated:

Arizona stunned bitter rival Arizona state by jumping out to a 28-7 first half lead and never looked back in a 56-35 rout. Coach Rich Rodriguez and the Cats ended an 8 game losing streak with the loss and finish the season on a positive note.  It was Arizona's first and only Pac-12 victory, and prevented ASU from getting their 6th win (and becoming Bowl-eligible).

In the victory, Arizona rushed for 516 yards, and had three players with over 100 yards rushing. QB Brandon Dawkins had 183 yards on the ground, while Samajie Grant rushed for 176 yards and Zach Green had 126 yards.

Arizona ends the season with a 3-9 record, and 1-8 in the Pac-12.
