A new study reveals, people who constantly worry about contracting a serious disease, can end up with one.

People with the health anxiety, known as the "Worried Well", fear that they have, or will develop, a serious illness. Now researchers in Norway have evidence that that added stress may damage the heart.

The study of over 7,000 patients showed the "Worried Well" were 73 percent more likely to develop heart disease than those without the health anxiety.

If people needed another reason not to smoke.

New evidence shows smoking one pack of cigarettes a day causes about 150 mutations in every single lung cell. These mutations can cause genetic damage, which can often lead to cancer.

In another study, conducted by Georgetown University, researchers followed smoking trends in countries that display graphic images of diseased lungs and tracheotomies on cigarette packs.

Based on that data, researchers estimate the U.S. could see a five to 10 percent drop in people who smoke if the photos appeared on cigarette packs in America.

Scientists estimate the images were placed on packs of cigarettes, it could potentially prevent more than 650,000 deaths over the next 50 years.
