Hittin' the Trails 4 You: Molino Basin

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - At an elevation of 4,000 feet in the Santa Catalina Mountains, the Molino Basin Trail is where the grassland meets the desert.

The Molino Basin Trail mixes prickly pears and barrel cacti with grasses and wildflowers. Chances are hikers will be greeted by some wildlife, as deer are known to frequent the area.

From trailhead to its end at Soldier Trail, it's a hike over 2 miles in length & lasting around 3 hours round trip.
