Hittin' the Trails 4 You: Monsoon wildflower hotspots

TUCSON - Welcome to southern Arizona's 2nd wildflower season! Here are three Mt. Lemmon spots where the Monsoon bloom is in full swing.

From daisies to dandelions and everything in between, the Meadow Loop Trail features a colorful palette sure to please the eyes. It's a mile and a half hike from the Mount Lemmon Trailhead, roughly 1-2 hours round trip. Click here for directions and a trail map.

The 4.5 mile Aspen Loop starts at the Marshall Gulch Trailhead. A half hour in, hikers get expansive views of Tucson and several wildflowers. Click here for directions and a trail map.

On the Box Camp Trail, butterflies add to the ambiance. Trail conditions are good, which helps. One way, it's a 10 mile hike. Click here for directions and a trail map.
