Longtime Tucsonan & American Gymnastics Coach Shares In Olympic Success Of Team USA

Team USA's Gymnastics has one of its best squads in years, and one person who's seen it all first hand is former Olympic coach and proud Sonoran Desert resident Yoichi Tomita .. Of Gymnastics World in the heart of Tucson! 

Tomita recently served on the coach selection committee for Team USA for the fourth consecutive Olympic games! In fact, Tomita helped coach the USA in 1988 in Seoul, Korea, and in the year 2000 in Sydney, Australia.
In all, the proud Tucsonan  has been to three Olympic games!

Tomita has coached 13 junior national champions, five Olympic team members, and an Olympic alternate!
In addition, his son, Yewki, who went to Tucson's Greenfield High School, competed for two *USA Olympic teams, but fell just short of Olympics. 
However, Yewki did compete for Team USA in the World Championships! .
