McSally goes on ride along with TPD

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON- With the recent shootings involving police officers around the country, U.S. Representative Martha Mcsally wanted to show her support for local law enforcement by participating on a ride along.

Mcsally said she has done ride alongs in the past, but in wake of recent shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge, she thought it was important to go on a three hour ride along to see first hand what our law enforcement goes through every single day.

"We are now having targeted assassinations of our law enforcement, which creates a whole other dynamic of those who are getting up every single day for work," said Mcsally.

Looking ahead, Mcsally said she would like to be part of the dialogue when it comes to offering additional resources for law enforcement agencies.
