Signs At Tumamoc Hill Bring Awareness & Promote Conservation While Tucsonans Hike Up Historic & Scenic Hill Just West Of Downtown

Posted: Updated:

Tumamoc Hill is a popular hiking site in the mountains just west of downtown Tucson.  During most summer weeks, thousands of people make their way up and down the mountain which begins on Anklam, just south of St. Mary's Hospital.

Now, more hikers and fitness enthusiasts are also getting an education on the desert habitat and species along the 3 mile roundtrip hike.

With camera in hand, News 4 Tucson's Paul Cicala went up Tumamoc Hill to film some of the natural wildlife found on top (snakes, Gila Monsters, Deers), and interview workout  gurus on their thoughts of new, informative signs.  See Cicala's story as-aired-on-NBC by clicking on icon above.
