Host families needed for Tucson Saguaros baseball team

Posted: Updated:
TUCSON -

Tucsonans are being asked to step up to the plate to help a professional baseball team survive in the Old Pueblo.

A public meeting was held to ask residents to be a host family for the Tucson Saguaros baseball team. This will give them an opportunity to meet the players and the manager of the team.

Another meeting will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the lower floor meeting room of the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, located at 101 N. Stone Ave.

Families can sign up at the meetings or by contacting the Saguaros host family coordinator at 575-491-3216. They can also email the coordinator at weirken61@hotmail.com.
