What’s Driving You Crazy: Paving Tucson's roads

Posted: Updated:

Richard said, "It seems all the streets in Tucson are getting repaved, besides 12th Avenue between Ajo Way and Drexel Road. I was wondering when 12th Avenue would be repaved."

The City of Tucson’s “Bonds for City Streets Public Information Map” lets you know when certain areas will be under construction.

The map highlights projects that are completed, planned, and under construction. You can zoom in on a road and click to get more information.

For instance, 12th Avenue will be reconstructed from 44th to Santa Paula in Fiscal Year 2017.

TDOT tells us that they expect the road work to begin in October or November of this year. Prior to that, Southwest Gas crews will update gas lines along the road.
