Crime Trackers: Suspect of buried body case involved in altercation at CVS last week

TUCSON -

A man has been arrested in connection to the body that was found on Thursday, buried on Tucson’s Northwest Side.

Daniel Lindquist was arrested last night and booked into jail for second-degree murder. Officials said the 41-year-old homeless man is accused of killing another homeless person then burying the body.

Last week, Lindquist was told to leave the CVS Pharmacy, located on Orange Grove and Oracle roads. He then got into an altercation with a bystander.

Lindquist was caught on video hitting the bystander. The bystander fought back and knocked him out.

“All those things you associate with the homeless issue mental health, homelessness, substance-abuse, about all of it come together,” said PCSD Sheriff Chris Nanos.

Pima County Sheriff Department homicide detectives were combing through the area again. They were taking pictures that clearly showed that someone lived there.

Investigators need your help. If you have information, call 911. If you want to remain anonymous, call 88-CRIME.
