What's Driving You Crazy: Valencia Potholes

Posted: Updated:

Potholes are concerning some drivers who use Valencia Road near the Tucson Airport.

Joe G. said on "Valencia Road between Alvernon and Nogales Highway on both sides going east and west, I don't think we can call them potholes anymore because we have chunks of missing road on either side of Valencia."

Paving work for Valencia from 12th Avenue to Alvernon is planned for this year. Tucson Department of Transportation expects it to begin in July or August.

Crews will mill and overlay the road, which means they'll take out a portion of asphalt and put in new asphalt.

Until paving work begins, you can report a pothole by calling the Streets and Traffic Maintenance line at 520-791-3154.
