Hittin' the Trails 4 You: Free hiking at Sabino Canyon on Presidents Day

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Coronado National Forest will waive fees at most of its day-use recreation sites Monday, February 15, in honor of Presidents Day.  All Coronado National Forest ranger district offices will be closed for the holiday.  The Sabino Canyon Visitor Center will remain open for business.

The fee waiver program is in cooperation with other federal land management agencies under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. Fees are waived generally for day-use areas, such as picnic grounds, developed trailheads and destination visitor centers. Concessionaire-operated sites may be included in the waiver if the permit holder wishes to participate.
