TUCSON - The Coronado National Forest will host a BEYOND Tucson event celebrating health, diversity and goodwill at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, 5700 N. Sabino Canyon Road, on January 9, 2016. Day-use fees will be waived for the event, which begins at 8:00 a.m.
The Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists will lead a family nature walk at 10:00 a.m. and an outdoor educational display will be set up from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to promote enjoyment of the outdoors. Junior Ranger Programs will also be available upon request throughout the day.
“Many of the events, services, and programs provided on the Forest would not be possible without our dedicated partners and volunteers,” said Ken Born, Santa Catalina District Ranger. “Groups like the Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists, Santa Catalina Volunteer Patrol, and the Friends of Sabino Canyon help to enhance the lives of our community. BEYOND is a great example of this commitment.”

8:00 a.m. Visitor Center opens
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Outdoor Educational Display (Interpretive Ramada, two hours)
10:00 a.m. Family Nature Walk (approximately two hours)
4:30 p.m. Visitor Center closes

BEYOND: *Commemorate*Celebrate*Commit* is a community-wide event which will take place on January 10 from sunup to sundown across Greater Tucson and Southern Arizona.
