The Marana School District is offering new care to local kids who are in need.
Mobile meals are on the way to children and their caretakers over the holiday break.
The program, called "Marana Cares, Mobile Service," is all about bridging the gap over holiday break.
During the school year, kids can get free and reduced cost lunch at school, but over the holidays, many children and their families may not have enough food to eat.
The "Marana Cares Mobile" has a diner-like atmosphere on an old refurbished school bus.
All kids eat free and the caretakers who bring them can eat for a dollar.
This is all funded by a combination of corporate partnerships and donations.
"Just making sure the kids get fed on the breaks and nobody is going hungry and they have an opportunity for all the kids out here to just come and get a hot meal," MUSD spokesperson Keri Barney said.
