TUCSON - At an elevation of 4,600 feet, the hike to Wasson Peak is a leg burner.
Viewers note a 5 hour round trip hike, netting an elevation gain of roughly 2,100 feet. Upon reaching the summit of the Tucson Mountains, hikers are treated to sweeping views of the valley floors below and mountains ranges like the Catalinas and Rincons. Desert flora and fauna dots the path winding up the mountain.
