(KOBI-TV)- According to an e-mail sent to Southern Oregon University students at the Ashland campus that the campus would be closed Wednesday, October 7th due to an unconfirmed threat.
The e-mail says the Ashland Police Department is currently investigating and that all classes and other activities are cancelled Wednesday.
In a comment on the Southern Oregon University Facebook page officials said someone left a note “Hand written note found in a campus building. No further details can be released at this time as the investigation is active.”
The SOU/RCC campus in Medford will remain open.
In the e-mail it also says “Only essential personnel, including Campus Public Safety and Food Services staff, are to report to work on the Ashland campus.”
