Hittin' the Trails 4 You: Mount Lemmon's Monsoon wildflower bloom

TUCSON - Welcome to southern Arizona's 2nd wildflower season.

"Hittin' the Trails" focuses on three spots atop Mount Lemmon showing off the Monsoon bloom. From daisies to dandelions and everything in between, the Meadow Loop Trail features a colorful palette sure to please the eye. From the Mount Lemmon Trailhead, it's a 1.5 mile trip that lasts 1-2 hours. Click here for the Meadow Loop Trail map.

The 4.5 mile Aspen Loop Trail starts at Marshall Gulch. Roughly a half hour in, you'll get an expansive view of Tucson below and several wildflowers. Click here for the Aspen Loop Trail.

On the Box Camp Trail, butterflies add to the wildflower ambiance. Trail conditions are good, which helps. It's about a 10 mile hike one way. Click here for the Box Camp Trail map.
