TUCSON - The 6-year-old boy, who was struck and killed by a UPS truck while riding his bike on Friday, has been identified as Daylin Garcia Enos.

According to the Tucson Police Department, at around 4 p.m. Friday, a 6-year-old boy was struck by a UPS truck while riding his bike at an apartment complex in the 6200 Block of South Campbell Avenue.

The TPD Traffic Investigators Unit determined the UPS driver was at the apartment complex making deliveries and prepared to back up into a parking space.

Enos was riding his bike behind the UPS truck and as the driver began backing the vehicle, the boy was struck.

The driver checked his backup camera, mirrors and honked the horn prior to backing the vehicle, said TPD.

The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. He was not cited, according to Tucson Police.

Enos was not wearing a helmet.
