YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Federal authorities say two Yuma brothers wanted on sex and drug charges have been arrested in Mexico and are awaiting extradition to Arizona.
U.S. Marshals Service officials say 49-year-old Martin Mayorquin and 34-year-old Christopher Mayorquin were taken into custody Friday after more than five years on the run.
The brothers were working as street vendors in Algodones, Mexico.
Authorities say Martin Mayorquin's warrants stem from failing to register as a sex offender and probation violation.
He originally was arrested by Yuma police in 2004 for sexual misconduct with a minor and the molestation of a child.
Authorities say Christopher Mayorquin was indicted in Yuma County on marijuana smuggling, transporting marijuana for sale and assisting a criminal syndicate.
He also has a parole violation warrant from the Arizona Department of Corrections.
