WALKER, AZ - Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies are on the search for suspects in an arson-burglary.
On October 15th, deputies responded to a reported structure fire in the 3000 block of East Walker Road in Walker. One of the residents had just arrived at the house and saw smoke coming from the unoccupied structure.
The Walker and Prescott Fire Departments eventually extinguished the fire. The initial determination indicated the fire was non-criminal, but further investigation has concluded the fire's origin as suspicious. Additionally, it appears a burglary occurred at the same residence sometime between the evening of October 18, and the early morning hours of October 19. Detectives are trying to determine if the incidents are related.
Anyone with information regarding the fire and/or burglary is urged to contact Detective John McDormett at 929-777-7334. Callers may report information anonymously to Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232. Refer to case number 12-034936.
