World Care collecting donations for Texas explosion victims

TUCSON - World Care in Tucson is collecting donations to help the victims affected by the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas.

The blast killed at least 12 people, injured at least 200 people and destroyed hundreds of family homes and apartments.

World Care has been in contact with the Texas Governor's office, Texas A&M and Volunteer Emergency Management groups providing support for the recovery efforts.

They need hygiene items like:
Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Dental Floss
Shampoo, Conditioner
Bar Soap
Razors, Shaving Cream
Nail Clippers
Soap, Liquid Detergent
Toilet Paper
Feminine Hygiene Products
Diapers - Adult and Baby
Hand Sanitizer
Bath Towels, Hand Towels, Washcloths

World Care also need the following relief items:
New Blankets
New Underwear
Non-Perishable Food
Baby Formula (Non-Expired)
Pet Food and Crates
Basic First Aid and OTC Medicines

Bring items by the office located at 3538 E. Ellington Place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-3pm and Tuesday and Thursday 9-6pm. Monetary donations are appreciated and can be sent to to address or donated on online at www.worldcare.org.
