Tiger Woods' caddie Steve Williams has denied a recent report in an Australian newspaper that Tiger will return to competition at next week's Accenture Match Play Championships at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain in Marana.

Williams told the Sydney Morning Herald, "The stories stating Tiger will return at the matchplay have no truth to them."

Golfers have until 5:00 p.m. ET this Friday to commit to the Match Play event. Woods won the Match Play tournament in Marana in 2008 when it was played at The Gallery at Dove Mountain.
